What is the Holloman Challenge?
In operating my basketball enterprise, I thought about what I would have wanted at any given age as a basketball player. As an adult, I would have wanted an opportunity to showcase my talent and earn money in the process. So I created a unique Jacksonville event to bring adult players into the spotlight; challenging each other 1:1, and continuing to benefit from all that basketball has to offer.
This year’s event will have a very special focus. At the beginning of March 2024, my mother texted me that she was cancer free! This was the best news I’ve heard in all my life.
During this time, I had just begun to plan out the Holloman Challenge event for July. The funny thing is, I’d been searching for a deeper meaning to the large platform I’ve built and it literally fell in my lap! My mother’s triumph propelled me to highlight and celebrate survivors like her with the stage that’s already been set by the event. So this year, some of our players will also represent cancer survivors, who will be given financial assistance to aid in their financial struggles related to beating cancer.
